South Sacramento County Basin Water Management Planning: Lower Cosumnes River Memorandum of Agreement

Sacramento County Water Agency (SCWA), Southeast Sacramento County Agricultural Water Authority (SSCAWA), and The Nature Conservancy entered into the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the Management for Water and Environmental Resources Associated with the Lower Cosumnes River. RBI represented SSCAWA throughout the negotiation process. The goal of the MOA is to restore and maintain key functions of the Cosumnes River corridor while furthering conjunctive use in the agricultural areas. The MOA provides the framework for collaborative planning, implementation of the Cosumnes River Flow Augmentation Project, and groundwater management planning in the south basin.
