Dr. Ellen Preece of RBI made headlines on the Washington State University website with her work on microcystins relative to human fish consumption.

RBI's Dr. Ellen Preece presented at the EPA Region 10 Harmful Algae Blooms (HABs) workshop in Seattle, WA, March 29-30th.

RBI was represented at the 8th Symposium on Harmful Algae in the U.S. November 15-19, 2015 by Dr. Ellen Preece who gave both a platform presentation and a poster.

RBI is conducting a pilot study to evaluate the use of environmental DNA (eDNA) for determining the presence or absence of freshwater mussels in Central Valley waters. This study is being conducted on behalf of the Central Valley Clean Water Association to address application of the USEPA’s 2013 ammonia criteria to Central Valley POTWs.

RBI presented new research at the American Fisheries Society Annual Meeting August 16-20, 2015. New staff member, Dr. Ellen Preece presented research from her paper newly published in the journal of Ecotoxicology and Environmental Safety.

RBI to present in Los Angeles at the WateReuse California Annual Conference March 15-17, 2015. This is the premier statewide conference devoted to sustaining supplies through water recycling.

RBI was contracted by the Central Valley Clean Water Association (CVCWA) to lead the implementation of the “Phase I Freshwater Mussel Collaborative Study for Wastewater Treatment Plants.”

RBI has been selected by the City of Brentwood to prepare the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Initial Study/Mitigated Negative Declaration for the Recycled Water Project.
